User Guide

IMPORTANT: First of all make sure that the file CSPLIT32.EXE is in the path (e.g. copy it in your windows directory). If this is not the case CSPLIT32 will not be launched!

Fill in the fields appropriately. When changing the parts/size or size type an estimation will appear in the highlighted area. To force an update of the estimation just click on the highlighted area.

To start splitting click on the button "OK Split my file". If you press "Enter" then the page will also be reloaded with a blank file (don't hit "Enter" but click on the button instead).

When CSPLIT32 successfully splits a file into several parts it then also creates a DOS batch file named "UNSPLIT.BAT". All the files (parts and batch file) are created into the same directory/folder as the original file to be splitted.

You may get an ActiveX warning when using this page. That is because I use the FileSystemObject in VBScript (to check for file existence and for the file size). Feel free to view the code if you do not trust it (I suggest you do so anyway if you got this from an untrustable source). You will need to accept to run the ActiveX in order to be able to use this page.

If you do not feel safe about using this page then use SPLIT32 directly from a command prompt. Start SPLIT32.EXE without parameters for on-screen help about the required parameters.
